Facebook ads, or better known as Meta Ads (since Facebook and Instagram are one), are the greatest marketing opportunity since…ever.
But no one seems to make the most of it. It’s an untapped goldmine.
It’s not untapped because your competition doesn’t know about it…
…they know about it but they don’t know how to use it properly.
This article will show you exactly how to run great Facebook ads that feed your business the perfect customers on auto-pilot.
What Almost EVERY Business Gets Wrong About Meta Ads
The only thing standing between you and an ad campaign that gives you results is a mini wall of complication.
Here’s what I mean:
Facebook has purposefully made a ‘boost’ option that makes it ultra simple to start running the ads. But you lose money without even realizing it and I'll explain why.
Boost gives you more exposure, sure. But it doesn’t help you get more clients.
Here’s the issue with ‘boosting’:
- You’re limited to only the post types that exist for organic posts
- You can’t effectively target a particular audience based on an action you want to take
- You can’t add square photos, change customize the headline or description
- You can’t run the ad on both Facebook and Instagram
The problem is more exposure ≠ more clients.
Instead, more exposure in this case could mean that even people who are bad prospects for your product or service will see your ad.
To give you a bit more context, that eats up your ad budget.
Or, because of the lack of control in creating the ad, your ad won’t work when a good prospect sees it.
So, rule of thumb, start using the Meta ads tool option from now on. Start slow or feel free to get in touch with us (so you don’t waste your ad spend).
Attract Leads, Clients and Sales Without Spending A Fortune
One of the best things about Meta Ads is that getting results is predictable.
Unlike TV Ads, Newspaper Ads or Influencer marketing, where it’s hard to get a sense of whether the ad is working or not. And you find yourself putting more money into the ads wondering if that’s where you’re going wrong.
Meta’s algorithm is awesome.
If you get a client or lead after you’ve spent a certain amount of ad dollars…expect to spend the same amount to get another client/lead.
You can even find out industry or niche specific cost per leads with very little research.
Typically, higher ticket product or service = higher cost per lead.
Pretty useful if you know how much it costs to get a client, relative to the ad spend. You’re able to create an efficient and profitable ad this way.
How To Get Your Perfect Customer's Eyes GLUED To Your Ad
Here’s what I tell business owners (and it’s also what’s wrong with AI):
The worst sin to commit in marketing is to be boring.
Side note: keep your eyes peeled for my article on why AI sucks.
But back to the topic:
Facebook and Instagram are social media platforms. People are scrolling. They’re looking to be entertained by the next video.
Which means you’re competing with EVERYONE to get your prospect’s attention. Which also means you have no room to be boring in your ad.
My free e-book goes into detail on how to grab your prospect’s attention, but in general…
You want your image to stand out. You want your writing to speak to your perfect customer.
Check out my article HERE to write an ad that speaks to your perfect customer and does what it’s supposed to do…SELL.
I Wish I Knew About CTAs Before Running Facebook Ads—Here’s Why:
CTA’s (call to action) are prompts or response mechanisms for your customers to respond to. Basically, you ask your ideal customer to take action on your ad if they’re interested in your product or service.
Doesn’t have to sell to them right away, it could be a newsletter sign-up or a free e-book.
But here’s the point I’m making:
CTA’s tell your customer to do something which eventually leads to money in your back pocket.
Not in a shady way…
..but if we’re spending money on ads, we want to make money too.
For example, if you’re a dog chew toy company, you could offer 20% off your chew toy if they sign up through your Meta ad.
This offer or CTA gives the customer a reason to act.
If that CTA doesn’t work, then we try a different CTA.
But at least we know we’re trying to get the reader or prospect to do something. And we can test and optimize until we get something that works.
Annywayyyy's.
I can guarantee you this won’t be my last article on Facebook Ads so keep your eyes peeled.
